Lovely property in idyllic location
We were obviously unsure if we’d make it to Greece this year but were so very glad we did. After a difficult time, what we all really needed was a recharge and this holiday certainly delivered. Linda was very reassuring and put our mind at ease. The house was lovely and clean, in a very peaceful location with an amazing view. The pool and the pool area was our favourite way to spend our days, followed by dinner in one of the many restaurants in nearby Platana and Kymi port. If you want a holiday that is Greek Greece (we didn’t encounter one Brit the whole time, bliss!) this is the place for you. We never ventured far (the nearby beaches are lovely), but didn’t want to or need to and had a large choice of books to read. We’d love to come back soon!

Relaxing and authentic Greek holiday
Little Stone Villa is the perfect location (on the outskirts of the town of Enoria) for a tranquil and relaxing holiday on the island of Evia. The views from the terrace and the pool are stunning. The cosy villa is so well stocked it feels like ‘home from home’. The 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa was ideal space for our family of 4 (children 15 and 12). This was our first visit to Greece and we experienced an authentic Greek experience. The island has few non-Greek tourists. We visited the Sunday Konistres market (for fruit and vegetables, local honey) and spent many days by the pool and at the local beaches 5 to 10 drive minutes away (Kimi, Platana, Soutsini-sheltered and clear waters, perfect for snorkelling). We also ventured to Kalamos beach (30min away) with stunning turquoise waters and white sands. Enoria village is a 5 min walk up the hill from the villa offering stunning panoramic views. We watched the sun rise over the Aegean horizon from Enoria church. There are local supermarkets (Kimi town), bakeries (delicious pastries/breads), greengrocers serving smoothies and ice cream (Platana). The tavernas in local Kimi beach and Platana, Figouli (15 min walk) offer good traditional Greek cuisine or seafood. We also drove up ‘Scraggy mountain’ to visit the church (visible to the top right of photo 3) with breathtaking views along the coast and went hiking in the Vromonera forests with our informative tour guide Nico.
All in all we had a wonderful stay on this beautiful Greek island. Thank-you to our generous host Linda for all your hospitality.

Komfortables Haus in traumhafter Lage

A very special place – book if you have a chance
At least once a year we rent a villa in Greece and we have been lucky to stay at some very special places. That being said, the stone cottage in Enoria far exceeded any expectations we had. We like staying in rural areas with lots of nature around and from the looks of it, the villa seemed to match our taste. We usually like to research the area before booking, there was however very little information to find on the internet about Evia, Kimi or Enoria. So we just went with our gut feeling and booked anyways.
The booking process was very professional and Nick was quick to react to any query we had. On the day of arrival we were welcomed by Linda, the brave woman responsible for creating this little piece of paradise. The welcome was warm and we felt home immediately. The view from the terrace and pool are extraordinary and the house is cozy, very clean and equipped with anything you may need. We spent 14 days at this magical place, enjoying every moment of it. There are plenty of restaurants at a short driving distance, but most nights we enjoyed cooking in the cottage kitchen. The house, garden and pool are done wonderfully, with lots of love by Linda’s family. Linda was the most amazing host you can imagine – I can guarantee that you will agree if you get a chance to stay here.
The area around is beautiful, ranging from spectacular mountains, to glorious beaches and cute towns. There are not many other foreign tourists around and for us that was something very special. We wholeheartedly recommend staying at the special place if you have the chance. If you are like us and enjoy authentic rural areas, cute little towns (like Kimi) and generally the unexplored, we are sure you will enjoy your time here as well. If you have the chance, book 2 weeks at a minimum – the villa and garden are so mesmerizing, that it is hard to motivate yourself to venture out. If you do however, you are in for some real treats.

A Hidden Gem
Little Stone Villa is a hidden gem in a wonderful part of Greece.
The villa itself nestles on a south facing slope of a spectacular and surprisingly lush green valley with breathtaking views of hill-top villages, rugged mountain scenery, and, apparently almost within reach, the inviting azure sea. You could (we did) happily spend hours just drinking in the vista from the very comfortable terrace with dining table and chairs.
Below the house and terrace, reached by a short flight of steps, is the pool area that is at once secluded and private, but also offers a slightly different and very spectacular angle on the view. The pool, while not deep, is a good size. The loungers are comfortable and the two large shades ample. You could (we did) easily spend all day here by the pool.
But there are excellent beaches, walks and other attractions nearby too.
The house is well laid out with comfortable furnishings and an especially well equipped kitchen.
Linda, the lovely owner, met us at the ferry terminal and guided us to the house – we’d never have found it otherwise. She is a font of knowledge about the local area and a warm and welcoming host.
If you want a taste of Greece that’s a little off the beaten track, yet easy to get to, and with pretty much all you could want within pretty easy reach – you’ll love this place!
Our week here was wonderful and will linger in the memory. We’d love to come back…

Perfect stay at beautiful peaceful villa
We have stayed at Little Stone Vila at the end of June. It was exactly like we have imagined and had looked for.
It was on peaceful location in nature with the view on sea. House was spacious and with all equipment which is needed to have a cozy relaxed stay. There is even supply of basic ingredients and food. You can also find there a lot of books and games for children (if it does happen in rare circumstances that they want to go from the pool or terrace, where is a lot of lego cubes).
Terrace and place around house were breath-taking. So many flowers, everything in order and everything done with great sense of care.
Swimming pool area. Outstanding! Quite big swimming pool with nice surroundings and unique views on the valley and sea. Unforgettable.
Linda (the owner) is making all story even more perfect and complete. She is there to pick you up, she is there to help you whenever you need something and the most important, she has a lot to tell and she is really a great person.
We did enjoy a lot and we do hope so we will come back one day.

Peaceful With Stunning Views – A Home From Home
We stayed with our two daughters (5&7) and my parents, so 6 of us in total. The Little Stone Villa blew us away, from the exquisite stonework, views from the terrace, views from the pool, views from the shower…you name it, every direction you turn there’s a feast for your eyes. We loved the seclusion of the place, nestled on a mountainside and spent most evenings enjoying BBQ’s on the terrace and star gazing. There are beaches within driving distance and the other Sporades islands can be visited from Kymi Port, a 10 minute drive away. This is no ordinary villa, it has been built with such love and attention to detail, that it felt like our home for the 2 weeks we were there. Linda thinks of everything, from kitchen utensils, games for the children, DVD’s, books, washing powder, pool towels, bats and balls, Wi-Fi, air con, even conjuring up a box of Lego when she heard our youngest played with it. We particularly liked how the pool was a distance from the villa (36 steps, staggered over two levels, to be precise!). Having young children, this gave us peace of mind and them the freedom to roam on the top level, next to the villa, when we weren’t at the pool. Not once did we fret about their safety and believe me, I can be a fretter! My parents are in their 70’s and the downstairs bedroom and shower were ideal for giving them a bit of privacy (at least when the girls weren’t vying to explore the games and books on the bookshelf in there). A magical place with memories made that will long outlive our holiday. We’d recommend the Little Stone Villa in a heartbeat.
